New numbers 307.11rwhp and 276.05rwtq
The swapping in of the z1 maf and a nonrevup lower plenum. I honestly have to say that for the $ the maf was questionable but its on there now and it made power. Special thanks to Vince at RT tuning again for doing an amazing job.
Here are dyno sheets galore and some vids...enjoy!
[IMG][/IMG]
I took this using my diy camera mount. I just wanted to try it out.
[IMG][/IMG]
The noise is deafining is person
[IMG][/IMG]

Z1 maf installed its huge like over 80mm at the front and like 78mm at the exit.
[IMG][/IMG]
The blue line is from Feb with the revup lower, the red line is the baseline today with the only change being the nonrevup lower and it kicked its *** except around 7k, the green line is the big maf installed and tuned. It was hotter and way more humid today so as far as gains go I was happy.
[IMG][/IMG]
This the how it was in feb to end of the day today. Makes more power everywhere
[IMG][/IMG]
This is my dyno layed over my buddies z4 m coupe with supersprint exhaust/no cats/jvt headers and a kn panel filter and a flash. Who dynoed before me today.

The z4 m
[IMG][/IMG]
SAE correction feb vs. todays tune
[IMG][/IMG]
Another dyno sheet with the max gains shown. I think that Tony guy at motordyne might have been on to something with that mrev
Yes I know the DC headers are sucking the life out of my build but unless supersprint pm's me asking if I want a free pair I am done spending money for a long time....well as far as power is concerned.

Damn I was 3whp off with my guess. Good numbers. I am glad the maf worked out for you.

Great post! What air filter are you running connected to the Z1 maf housing? That maf is a nice bargain for 5hp/5tq, if you are going to get a tune.

What did you use to port it out? I want to match mine here, but don't know the best way to tackle it and keep it consistent.

I was surprised by how much more power the nonrev had over 7k I thought it would be dead in the water. You don't want to port match it the way I did it. Find someone with a lathe and just chuck it on the exit side and party. I will be finding someone with a lathe and doing it the right way soon.

When we talked, I was sure your "butt dyno" was feeling the torque shift in the powerband. There is no argument. You guys won this.
The powerband is a lot more robust, and you didn't even post a lost at top end. Very impressed.

I can say I tried both and dyno tested them. Sadly the dyno run was done on the revup tune so for the nonrevup to kick the hell out of it that bad is just more proof. I just wanted more power I wasn't trying to win anything, if the nonrevup sucked I would be in the garage swapping it right now instead of posting on here and drinking a beer.

Right is right, and power is power. I this is the most ideal comparison I have seen thus far, and it proves that Tony was correct. I concede.

Question though, do you think the large power drop off is due to the headers you are using? My understanding is that DC headers boost midrange power, but offer nothing substantial at high rpm over stock.

Is this a completely unported (untouched) non-rev plenum or has it been messaged?

I have been telling you guys for eons that the non revup lower didn't give up anything to a revup lower It's the way to go. That's why I used it on my car as well, after playing around with both extensively on the bench and with the manometer

#'s look great...enjoy it!

I will be enjoying the hell out of it next week at njmp. Doing thunder wed and lightning on thursday. I had to try it and now everyone can look at these results and not waste money. Headers have a huge effect on power after peak, "big boy" headers would do wonders for me. The nonrevup lower was massaged the same way the revup was. I port matched and indexed the mid to the lower and just removed all the casting flaws. Its important to index the mid to the lower as you can obstruct a couple mm's of port, it might not make a difference but it only takes a second look to do it right.
There is a pic of the cleanup up and indexed mid here https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...ml#post7432288 post #102

Thanks for the link......I may experiment a little this weekend. I am going to look for someone with the necessary equipment to bore the jwt velocity stack to an even 80mm. I also have a hondata Intake manifold gasket, which I might pop into help lower temps.
