Default Cosworth Heads

I am thinking about getting the Cosworth heads with the S1s cams. I also plan on getting it tuned with Greddy eManage Ultimate. I have headers, dual cat back exhaust, Kinetix SSV plenum installed right now. How much hp do you think I stand to gain. I am hoping to pull at least 320whp. What do you guys think??? I am open to suggestions to.

first, it would help to know what year your car is

you're going to buy $5000 worth of heads and tune it on an emanage...and then further toss the baby out with the bathwater and run that intake manifold?

start studying up on what works, and stop bouncing from one website to another and picking what looks cool to you

My car is a 2004. I hear ya on the intake manifold comment. I bought that a long time ago and I am now finding out that it is crap. I am definitely consdifering getting a new one soon. What type of tuning do you think I should use since you seem to be against eManage? I guess this is why I am posting on here. I definitely value peoples opinion, especially people that have done many mods to their car and knows what works.

cosworth heads and a goal of 320whp??? talk about over kill. though some cams, coswroth intake, headers, exhaust and tuning should get you there if not very close, probably for a little more than 5k. Is this car going to be raced... like at a track? or do you just want a faster z?

The Cosworth heads are a very nice peace, but whether they are worth it for a 3.5L NA setup can only be decided by you.

For tuning, I would suggest a dyno-tuned ecu flash over the emanage. We are not too far from you (Lexington, KY) and have a dyno in house. Also if you need someone to do the build, we are fully equipped and have experience with both NA and forced induction VQ builds.

I have a technosquare replash right now and it helped out quite a bit for what its worth, that is just a cookie cutter flash. I'm sure a dyno tune reflash would be much much better. Thanks for your input.

Irax:

It's not my daily driver. It's up for the winter right now. I take it to the local drag strip just outside Columbus and run it from time to time. Right now my best time is 13.75 @ 101. I started out at 14.4 when it was stock. It's a 2004 base. I have Stillen headers, Stillen dual exhaust, Kinetix SSV plenum, Quaiffe LSD and the technosquare replash as far as performance mods go and so far I have increase my 1/4 time quite a bit, but I am trying to get a little more and stay NA. I also want a faster Z for sure. I am thinking about getting the cosworth plenum. Thats one seems like, from what I hear, one of the best ones you can get. If I get that, some Cosworth heads or even the built Z1 heads, some cams and a good tune, I am hoping for 300whp.

Cosworth plenum is for an engine that revs...and with somewhat aggressive cams. Now really the hot setup on an otherwise stock DE engine IMHO

We don't sell built heads...we can sell you the parts to have a great head setup, but the porting/machine work is up to the buyer to arrange

Did you think about getting a final drive also?

I thought about getting a 3.9, but if I decide to go FI in the future I don't think that will work out very well. I'm sure 1st gear will be obsolete. It's heavy on my mind though as far as NA goes.
