Difference between 3.3 and 3.5 gears when installed
Hey guys i want to make sure the pumpkin i have on my car is a 3.5. Is there anyways to tell if its a 3.3 or a 3.5 without uninstalling it? thanks for your help
After i installed the gears my rpms are exactly 2875 at 80mph. Im thinking that a 3.3 should get this.
Part numbers arent any help because the numbers on the pumpkin are just the case number.

Jack the back of the car up... Put it in neutral... Count how many times you turn the driveshaft to get the back tires to turn one revolution.
If you turn it 3.5 times, it is a 3.5...

If the guy is MT, more likely than not it is 3.5. If the guy is AT, then he is most likely to have 3.3. Only reason why a MT would have the 3.3 ratio is because he is FI and he swapped it out.
If you feel you need to double check, then the tire rotation method may be your easiest route. Just make sure to mark the tire. The differential will already have a painted mark on it to determine the number of revolutions. It will be on the differential stub that connects to the drive shaft.
If you need someone to do the swap, hit me up.... im in OC.
Or if this guy falls through on the deal, ill give you a great deal on
a full pumpkin.
