I was thinking more of a combination of the aftermarket fans and UR pulleys. One other reason being that my AC doesn't become really cold until I drive for a while or hit the freeway. My alternator is working well as I can see it charging my battery at 14-14.8 while driving. Or perhaps my condensor is not behaving. What do you guys think?

Well my air always pumps progressively harder as I increase the throttle. It is still cold as all hell, but it just blows harder as the rpms rise. If it isn't becoming cold I would think something might be off with the condenser.

Hey Gabe, not to say your did something wrong, but you did say you re-wired your fans correct? Maybe they are mismatched or not a good connection, could be causing a small drain to your battery.

Glad to see you have your car back and running good... did you retune when you put the Cosworth on, or you just rockin it for now

How are you liking the 4.08 gears? I know you said you shift more, but the upside is quicker accelaration(duh!! lol), you should'nt have to downshift when passing on the highway either. That could be a plus if you dont want to sound like you are racing someone just to pass or be "cool"

Anyway, awesome job!!!

I couldn't stand the huge blue induction tube so I painted it with some Krylon.

That was my initial thought as well, that I didn't insulate the wires correctly. This was the reason why I rewired them this weekend in the first place. I checked the draw on my fans and they are at 5.7amps each. Tried to look for some specs on the OEM one, but couldn't find any CFM or draw. Anyways, it's a good thing to check them again regardless and I will do it tonight.

I love the gears, feels like i gained 50 to the wheels! The only concerned I had was mileage but it's all good. It actually makes me cruise at a much lower speed, which is a good thing. You should get it done.

Gabe.....I only got 3 passes today. It was the first time out on DR's, but I pulled a 13.39 with a terrible 1.98 60' and a DA of 2100'. Seeing as how it is not uncommon for the DA's to go negative here in the NE in Nov......I think 12's are possible with a mid 1.8 60'.

I like the tube much better black.....the blue was too much.

Getting the 4.08 gears are definately on my shopping list, gonna get my baseline done in April/May and Osiris 1st. I know gears done make any HP but I want to know what I gained and where...

I already made a couple runs when the G was fully stock(no susp and bald tires)..... my best run was 15.02@95.4mph. Dont remember my 60ft(I think 2.1sec), my reaction time was shitty (.773sec on a .500tree) I know I know, It was my 1st time out. I lost my slips but I do have the runs on video

Anyway, my G is sslllooowwwwly coming about...

Hey Mike did you ever get the 4.08gears in? I remember you said you opted not to...

Still on stock 3.5 FD. I may still go 3.9, but I am not going to do 4.08 as it would likely require a shift to 5th on my 26" tire and 7000 redline.

Ok ok. I remembering you saying that. Your times are awesome...I eventually would like to get mine into the 12's, more like high 12's... thats even better that you still have stock cams and ex manifolds.

Have you thought about getting the OEM HR headers? I think it will add some HP and still be OEM. Nissan saw some benefits when they added it to their 330hp VQ...

If I put forth the effort to swap out the exhaust manifolds I will make it worth it and do tomei's. My corrected ET is 13.0, but you can't put too much stock in those calculators.

What did you trap at? 13.39 is not too terrible same for 1.98, but with that DA I guess like you said you can probably do better. Do you have a scan of your time slip. Curious to see your reaction time and 1/8th. How heavy are your DRs?

It's the last post in the mega records thread in the Drag forum. I posted up the 13.42 as I can't seem to find the 13.39 slip. It is pretty damn close in all regards though........1/8th trap is 82mph.....highest trap of the day was 103.8, but it was HOT out today, making the car feel quite flat, and it was heatsoaked. I have trapped as high as 106.3 on street tires.

Edit: The weld's and DR's are about 8 pounds lighter per wheel/tire than my stock touring 18's and azenis.

Very true... those Tomei headers seem very worth it. Especially since Gabe gained a decent amount over aftermarket headers....

Good driving Mike, when is your next time? You should get a cam next time I hope with my new SPL bushings I'm gonna minimize my wheel hop, I've tried launching car before and i just don't get any traction because of it.

I thought a member......DSSkyline from Driver was going to be there filming, but I never saw him. I'll run again at the end of the month and then I hope to run 3-4 more times in Oct and Nov. I need a day with temps around 50 and no humidity.......then I have a shot at 12's, but I don't think it is going to happen this fall. We'll see.

How is Nismo header compared to Tomei header? I'm torn between these two and cant make up my mind which one to get. Are they really close in term of quality, durability, and gains?

Tomei is definately the #1 choice. The quality, durability, and gains are far more proven with the Tomeis than the Nismos. Nismo is good...not knocking it. But Tomei has done more R&D.

Gabe had installed the Tomei headers and gained a decent amount of power even after having aftermarket headers on his car. I honestly haven't seen any proven dynocharts or what not of Nismo headers...or at least a side by side comparison as Gabe did before adding the cams.

I also believe you CAN get Tomei headers and test pipes for cheaper than you can with the Nismo headers alone...

I'm not trying to rationalize my past decision by making other conform to mine, but I really do believe the Tomeis are superior then the Nismo. allmotorsedan summed it up well.

I know Adam must have a good reason for doing it, but I sure can't figure it out. Do you have a link to your original conversation? Or a how-to link?
