A 380RSC does (factory race car), a std 380RS uses nothing special as its a street car. And the RSC is raspier than anything you can imagine

right...and thats a 380RSC (full out race car) which bearns next to nothing in comparison to the 380RS (street car. 380RSC are insanely loud and raspy, the heat wrap is not for noise suppression

All I ever said was that the 380RS used heat wrap on their exhaust....like the OP

We all know that heat wrap isn't for noise suppression... but according to the OP's experience with the product, slight resonance reduction is a by product of the heat wrap with several coats of silicone sealant or whatever its called...

I am not stating a fact, I am just repeating what the OP has stated in this thread...

I've really enjoyed reading through this thread. Nice gains with the cams/headers. Although I don't have a Z, they'd definitely be on my list if/when I end up getting one.

I've considered wrapping my exhaust for some time on my bimmer. I may have to try this out and wrap it up to my rear resonator.

Good luck with the continued build!

Thanks, good gains but hefty price tag for the parts. In hindsight i should have saved money and jumped right into my current project. People are not lying when they say, "you'll want more", haha.

yep i found those just a few mins ago. thanks

and i believe the z1 intakes are smaller, but i have found a few alternatives that may work.

also debating what size intakes would be best and not overkill for my HR. stock hr size is 60mm. i wonder if 3" would be enough and worth it, or if i should go larger.

I haven't read anything about an HR using twin full 3" intakes yet. I say be a pioneer and see what happens

I originally got both from Z1auto but i'm not sure if they are in business. I think the samco is pretty easy to find but the MAF housing can be purchased at GTM.
