Hey Gabe, so in terms of ECU, all you have is the stock ECU with Osirus flash?

would a piggyback or standalone see more gains for you?

I'm practically doing the same build as you, however i make a Greddy Ultimate.

You're running on stock valve springs correct? What do you have your rpm limit set at? Just wondering what a safe threshold would be.

I really doubt that a piggy back would do much of any difference. For that matter many tuners and people are switching from piggybacks to Osiris since the tuning is more seamless and there are things that you can do with osiris that you can't with UTEC or the Greddy.

Yeah i'm running on stock springs and valves, that is one mistake i think i might have done during this upgrade. I didn't really think that I would continue to upgrade the car further after the cams and headers but you know how it is... I'll push it to ~7300rpm and see how it is and if things are no good then perhaps an engine rebuild...

Btw, how far is your car along the line of upgrades?

Thanks for the info Gabe!

I've got the standard exhaust and intake mods. Waiting for my tomei v2 headers to arrive so i can install them along with the tomei cams at the same time, i also ordered the 3" maf and samco tube from Adam (Z1auto).

I don't plan on doing much more than this, so do you think keeping the stock valve springs will be sufficient for my application?

Awesome choice on the headers!!!

Which cams did you get from Tomei?

It's hard to really say whether or not you will need new valves and springs. If you get high lift cams then of course you'll need a new set, but if you get standard lift ones then perhaps you won't need it. However if you do intend to rev it higher or have higher CR then perhaps it might be a good idea. I wish i could give you a better answer, but in terms of labor cost it's actually a little bit different then just cam install, so you are not entirely wasting your money by only doing the cams (maybe 1/2). HTH.

I'm going with the 264 cams.. same setup as yours mate.

That's why im asking you about valve springs.. however if i dont plan to do anything else, i think they would just be an overkill.

I've been logging my car for the past couple of days and I see that my IDC hits 83% when at around 6400rpm. The recommended operation range is below 80%, but I'm a tad bit over that already and I plan to pushout the revlimit (and hopefully making more power). Any foreseeable issues? One of the shop I take my car to recommended to get a bigger fuel pump rather then bigger injectors. I thought bigger injectors made more sense but he said the bigger fuel pump will help bring down the IDC as well since it'll raise the pressure. Any opinions?

Yeah, sounds like you should be fine with the stock valves springs, but keep in mind that if you push the rev like mine you might need it. Perhaps if my tune gets done before I leave to asia at the end of next week, then it would be helpful to you to see if pushing the rev limit is worthwhile and if i do run into any issues.

There's a dude on the forums selling a used TD Bassani exhaust. I've heard vids of it and I like it.

Question is, can it benefit my build?

The exhaust is 2.25" and I'll eventually get wrapped headers, test pipes, and a 3" intake.

Any thoughts?

I think the exhaust would be fine. Dual 2 and a quarter is shouldn't be too smal for na.

^Agreed. I would say it will be perfectly fine for an NA motor.

damn Gabe you really are going all out with your car!!!! I hope you plan on staying NA, cuz you and your build are my mentor!! Im getting the same FD and diff cover, and probably go with the Cusco RS lsd. I heard with the Quiaife, it acts like an open diff when there is no traction, such as ice/snowy conditions, or when making hard turn and one of your wheels lift. Obviously in cali, that wont matter to you. But here in Chicago, the winters suck!

cant wait to see what the Cosworth does for your car!!!!!

Wow! Now that's what I call a modding!

Curious to see how you like the SPL Rear Differential Bushings. Are they aluminum or neoprene?

Any reason you used an Apexi Filter instead of a Pop Charger?
