Hey Gabe, I haven't finished reading the whole thread but thanks for the info on the tranny (CD0009). I had an 2005 touring and I went to an 03 track (for F/I and project building). I immediately noticed the hasher shifting and increased notchiness. I'll probably beat this tranny up for another 6-7 months and then upgrade to the CD00009.
BTW, remember I was going buy your Tomei 272/268 CAMs with stock heads? Well, I went F/I instead man and now I want to either stroke or change internals.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of update. I've been so busy with work recently that I haven't had a chance to follow up on the things I needed to do, but I just dropped off the car to Zcar the other day for it to get finished up while I'm in Korea for the next month. Will let everyone know how it goes. Got new wheels, new tires, new block, and maybe some other stuff too.

I'm probably going to do a 3.8 build but let me know if you have anything for sale.

Back from the dead Part Deux! Sorry for the lack of update, been pretty much living in Korea with this new job so haven't had much time to play around with the car.
However I did get my car back last week and things are working better now.
-Had this terrible oil burning resolved 1qt every 1k miles
-Replaced spark plugs with colder ones
-HR head gaskets and studs
-Got the rear camber arms and bushing replaced finally
-Got a custom fabricated Metallic HFC to adapt to my MD XYZ pipe
-Got a new tune and picked up another 5whp/10wtq everywhere
-Gonna start venturing into new cams either going back to the tomeis or something else. So car will go back to zcar at the end of April.
-New wheels are on 19" SA55M in gunmetal with 245 and 285 V12s on
And if anyone is interested also revived one of my old hobbies, geek fest computer building for gaming/wasting money...

Haha, to make it legal I am also waiting for MD to make me some axlebacks with side resonator and mufflers. These Shockwave V2 are great for cruising around since it negates all of the drone, but when I floor it, the car sounds insane and that is where I like the Gamma better. Hopefully Tony can make me a hybrid.
Oh yeah, just saw your videos of the exhaust you have from MD. That thing is pretty damn loud, how are your brain cells doing?

I am surprised you are ok with the V1s, I have them as well and had them on for five minutes before i switched back to the Gamma. If you are interested I can sell you the Gamma for cheap since I no longer use them in favor of the V2s. They are definitely deeper and less bright than the V1s or V2s. I haven't tried the Harakiri but Tony did mention that those are quieter than the Gamma.

Hey Gabe glad your back and got the car running again!! I myself havent been on for a long while too.
What was done to fix your oil issue... the PCV system Zcar made? Or something internal? Are you still running the Rebello cams now? If you are gonna switch back to the Tomei cams, I think can help determine if they are too small for your engine or perhaps just the right amount of 'cam', seeing the you had low end issue with the Rebello cams

Oil issue was mainly tune related, but i'm still keeping my fingers crossed to see if things are permanently resolved. Only time will tell. I also wanted to use my old tomeis 264 to test it out, but we can't hop back on to using them easily since i had some valve recession done to clear the old cams. So either change the valves, get some off the shelf cams, or ask rebello to remodel make new cams now that I have all the components. he initially modelled the cams with his LTH and teh cosworth. Will keep you updated though.
