Is there any way of seeing what this plenum does on the lower end of the rpm range?

looks to me that a separate throttle body connection is made to be able to attach it to the tube.

yea i noticed that, thats the easy part, but im referring to the electrical part, how hard it was to wire it up to make it work

ohh..well if the wires do not reach normally and or after you get them out of the harness then you can just cut them and make extensions between the wires and plug. That is what i would of done in this scenario.

i am pretty sure that if they decide to put this on the market it will come with some sort of directions.

it would be nice if it was that simple, but running a GM TB on a Nissan cant be that easy

I am thinking as well that if you look good the vehicle is running all the time with out the hood.

It looks as if the intake sits a lil high. I am wondering if it even fits with the stock hood. Or would you have to change the hood like the stillen SC makes you.

Let me answer a few questions before you guys go and get too excited!

As for the hood clearance, the plenum that was made didn't fit without a spacer because there was a small nub on the lower manifold that was hitting the plenum. Without a spacer, the plenum will clear the hood. If you watch the video, the car is missing more than just the hood!

As for production and the GM throttle body, the first thing that needs to be done is a test with this plenum, a 3.5" intake and the stock throttle body. This will tell the whole story with regards to how critical a big throttle is. Perhaps a proper inlet and diffuser will reduce the losses at the stock throttle to a negligible amount. If we can get the GM throttle to work with the OE ECU that would be incredible, but it might not be possible because motors run at different frequencies, they have different ways of cross referencing throttle position, and of course would have different internal resistances that the ecu might check as a means of looking for codes. When the ECU detects a DBW fault it restricts the throttle opening to something like 20%. So neither the physical wiring nor the physical installation are the hard parts, it's the calibration!

The next steps include making a throttle controller to drive the GM throttle so that we can test it on the roadster along with the plenum, and of course the stock throttle body. Perhaps the roadster can come close to 300whp with just the throttle plenum and headers.

The headers are making progress but we're so far behind it's incredible. Nothing is killing me more than seeing a product everyone wants and not being able to produce it fast enough. I'm working as hard as I can to get them made, but I won't rush to sell a product I'm not happy with. Be patient guys! I'm sorry its taking so long!

a utec has no way to control the throttle body

Motec M800 is what their race car uses - which will control any throttle body you tell it to

thats what i was afraid of, but is their any other option on a bigger TB? maybe another Nissan Drivebywire car with a bigger TB?

You can bore out a VK or just get the Mines polished one ...

Someone had bored out a VK on here but it was still only 75mm or so IIRC. Stock we have ~70mm which can be bored to about 72mm.
People had talked bout q45 TBs in the past, but none really followed up on results.

Some people on the titan forums had swapped 90mm LS2 throttlebodies a few years back and as far as I know, they ran without even needing a reflash. Nissan TBs are 6 pin like GM TBs so maybe the electrical engineering hurdles are not that bad?
