good deal. another 23whp to go to meet your goals! Should get there with a tune

crazy how stock 370z are doin 320++ out of the box. What a great improvement over the De/hR motors.

Alright, I have eaten, I have relaxed and now, a better description. My numbers I posted earlier are low because of the HOT temperatures, the tuner himself said 40 degrees lower and I would gain 20hp. Just ball parking, that makes me dangerously close to my goal of 315rwhp. He fixed the boggy stuff, tried to clean up the stalling issue and tweaked the hell out of the cams and it is running smmmmoooooottthhh as hell! I am very happy, and I am content with this, and I will be leaving it this way until I either supercharge it or swap it for a LS2.

Here is the old bolt ons dyno done about this time last year.

and here is today's dyno

Ya, my previous dyno was I wanna say about 90 degrees, I made 287hp then, that SAME tune made 279 today, just adding the 8 hp for that minor temp diff makes it 300, would be so tempted to run down to Austin before I move to see what I could get on a quick pass

Videos, if I don't make them this weekend, I doubt you will see them for a few weeks, I am going on vacation monday until mid september. But I do have high intentions of making some.

Alrighty, I made some videos, and let me start off by saying, I have never heard my car from the outside, and I do admit, that at the upper RPM's it does sound pretty ricey

Here is an idling one, it was one of the first starts

Here is an idle and revving one I did today

And here is one that has 2 runs back and forth (this one is the one I noticed how it sounded from the outside...

I am wondering if at upper RPM's if my exhaust is becoming restrictive causing it to sound like *** like that

Here they are on youtube in the same order

Doesn't sound too bad but like you said it does rasp at the top. I am sure the video quality doesn't help either so you should upload to Youtube to help with that. Photobucket is lame in the sense that it doesn't allow HD vid quality.

It needs the X-pipe mod. I had that same rep before moving to the Fuji and loved the way it sounded AFTER the x-pipe was put in. Prior to the X-pipe it droned like crazy and didn't have any character in the sound. It even was tough to hear where the rev's were in reference to shifting. With the X-pipe it takes on the sound of a high strung V-6 or even a hint of a Porsche and removes 50% of the droning. But the engine will always be pretty raspy with almost no restriction/resonation in the sytem (test pipes and a fairly open exhaust). Also it wouldn't surprise me if the rep had more top end than my Fuji, never dynoed the difference but it wouldn't seem like a stretch from what I recall.

Sorry, been on vacation, alright, yes I know that an x pipe is better an h, the drone is definitely there in lower rpms and I have seen what the rep and real look like at the h, and neither is impressive.

Any who, I am thinking my shifter is kinda going crappy, it is getting hard to find gears... trans works great, no grinding, but the shifter will not find the gear! Anywho back to vacation!

I just wanted to update this thread alittle, I have been on vacation for a few weeks and
had time to slow down and think about the future of my car. Although a supercharger would be cool and alot of fun, I think I am going to finish the cooling mods, do the differentil

Although a supercharger would be cool and alot of fun, I think I am going to finish the cooling mods, do the differential mods, and setup for autox. I have other projects I want to tackle that further modification to my car beyond what I have mentioned above would hinder those projects

Just finished my vacation... But drove my 350z 800 miles there and back, ZERO problems, and averaged about 26-28 miles per gallon on the trip. No leaks and oil looks great and level is great too. No leaks and performance was great! I am about to kick over 5000 miles on the new motor and I am very happy with how strong it feels. In 500 more miles, I will be doing my first full 3000 mile oil change and I have no worries that anything will happen between now, then or in the foreseeable future.
