Default gains from just intake cams?

hey i was out of town today picking up a 240 parts car to finish my drag car and i was checking the local craiglist there and found some tomei 264/10.5 procams brand new in boxes for cheap. i dont really have the extra money right now to order or buy the exhaust cams since i bought another car and another nitrous kit. sooo

my question is would it be worth it just to change the intake cams?

any info is appreciated.

thanks

If they're a steal, you could pick them up, keep them safe, save up and buy exhaust cams later on and do it all in one shot and the right way

Otherwise, I am no cam expert, but if you're letting more air in, you're going to want to let more out - and you won't be doing that. If you were only going to do intake cams, I'd put the money elsewhere. But that's me.

yea i bought them for $200 for both. yea i guess il wait. im a mechanic by trade so il probably get bored and install them and then buy exhaust cams later.

i was just wondering if there was some reason the guy would have just had intake cams. like maybe the oem exhaust cams are really great and dont need to be replaced or something.

As a mechanic by trade I know I dont feel like doing the job of installing cams on this damn motor twice.
