I would love to go ITB's as well. It would make more power, but this is much cheaper and will do enough for what we need. Thanks for all the encouraging words guys. We will keep posting as we get work done.

There's quite a few members with larger TBs and, as stated above, SG proved it was possible.

I'm excited to see the outcome from both of you guys' hard work. Hopefully, some of us can follow in your (and others') footsteps in the near future.

When I crossed referenced the PN it came up with these vehicles.

2006-2011 Buick Lucerne, 4.6L
2006-2011 Cadillac DTS, 4.6L
2007-2009 Cadillac SRX, 4.6L
2007-2010 Cadillac STS, 4.6L
2007-2009 Cadillac XLR, 4.6L

Looks like they all have the 4.6L V8.

It's not done yet, but when it is I am not sure if we going to make kits. It depends on the interest and how much work others are willing to do. We are going to be hacking up the factory plenum to make this work and that would be difficult to have people shipping us their plenums. If anything we could sell the wiring kit, adapters and the Uprev ROM at best. We are still a ways out before we get it working. Once we do though, we both are purchasing the PPEs.

Nice!!! Can you post pics of the TB? I think you need to move it further down like SG or it will hit the hood and touch your valve cover.

The Max TB I have the coolant lines almost touch my valve cover. I had to bend them up for clearance.

Maybe SurraTT can help you guys out with the electrical part he made the PNP harness for the Max TB.

Granted the Max TB is a little bigger than stock, but it can be ported to about 78mm.

I think mw9 test fitted it where it will be and said that it barely clears the hood. If it doesn't we will for sure have to move it down further like SG did. There are pics of the TB on the first post.

Did he do it stock or with the common 5\16 or 1/2 spacer mod?

pics of the pigtail? where'd you get it from? seems that surratt made an adapter harness to go from stock TB to Max TB, he should be able to put the stock ECU end on your 87mm TB pigtail.

those caddy TB's are cheap on ebay. Have you tried connecting it to the stock ecu yet?

I think I got the pigtail from Rockauto actually. I have the wiring all written out and I will be splicing it myself. Yes they are cheap on ebay. That is where I got mine.

I have a race next weekend. After I get back from that I will get it all hooked up and give it the first attempt.

looking forward to your results!

EDIT:

So it is confirmed that at least the maxima tb will work with a stock ecu? I has the old redbox haltech. Would like to upgrade the TB while I has my bish apart.

I think I got it from RockAuto. I honestly don't recall. I have the PN, but not accessible at the moment. I can post it later if you still need it. I may have posted in this thread already.
