Default New to the Z, want 300hp

Hey guys, I just picked up an '03 (six speed, cruise and diff, i think thats the enthusiast model? idk) and i already want more power haha. I've already got some tein coils in the mail and i'm getting some 19's (hopefully vmr) but i really want the power. I thought about just doing a cat-back (invidia N1) and the a new intake and maybe a new intake manifold, Read about some intake manifold, but i think it was just for the rev up motor. anyway, now i'm sorta ranting on so lets cut to the chase- I want to make right around 300 wheel. What should i do. (looking to stay NA and dont say "spray it dude")

I feel like thats such a reasonable goal though, it makes what like 270 stock? i feel like 30 hp isn't that much to ask at all. If not just bolt ons what do you suggest?

No chance there's 270 at the wheels, not even on an HR. Sorry, bur that's a fact. Lots of threads here showing dyno numbers. Search.

Not going to happen without "spray dude". Best bet would be to do full bolt-ons and get a tune for mid / high 200's.

- filter
- test pipes
- plenum spacer
- exhaust
- osiris or similar
- headers are nice but the gains aren't really worth the costs
- etc, etc

Plenum spacer - http://www.motordyneengineering.com
Osiris - http://uprev.com/secure/

280 is absurd. If you got a baseline on your car it would be around 230-240.

280 at the crank which is a guestimated 230-240 at the wheels. 300whp on an N/A setup is going to require a lot more than bolt-ons.

People have been trying to squeeze power out of the VQ35 for over a decade now, if it was easy to do you wouldn't be getting these responses. Research
