Realistic WHP Goal for 06 NA Build?
As stated above, something that is seriously over looked when going with E85 is terrible gas mileage... Really just a race car thing or you have to be able to switch. Now, if you are smart, can have a dedicated E85 tune with Uprev.
I am really unsure how beneficial it would be in a Stock block or near it 3.5L non boosted application. I could really see it if you were running 13 to 14:1 compression and some really aggressive cams.

Ahh I see, with a standalone things start to get pretty expensive. Not worried about gas mileage. I live 2 miles away from a gas station with e85. If I can get 15 mpg I will be happy.
i bought full race cams have headers test pipes and true dual exhaust, along with a short ram, oversized throttle body and plenum spacer, and i only make 281 whp and another dyno said 286 whp... fi is way cheaper and i wish i went that route
What are your cam spec's, what compression ratio, and what size throttle body, if you don't mind sharing.
OP here...
FWIW, I made this thread because I didn't want to believe what I was reading about the VQ not picking up any power with NA mods... This thread and more research convinced me and I gave up on NA power. I'll get a Vortech SC or Greddy Twins if I ever go for more power.

I started with 260 @ sea level on 91 ... intakes and cat back exhaust after a tune might get you 270...
i'm dyno'ing in the next couple of weeks(however on a different dyno)
i have test pipes 3" single, mrev lower, 1/2" motordyne, and a full fluid service..

Na power is a rough life. Get catless test pipes, that's the only real gain. 10-15whp from that, everything else is tiny.
Add a 50 shot of nitrous and see how you like it. That's more power than N/A will ever have. If that's too much, sell off the nitrous kit and start modding. If it's not enough, start saving for forced induction or set the car up to run a 100-150 shot and enjoy stock drivability and 400whp when you need it.
