Just another v8
So I recently picked up a 2006 350z that had been wrecked but all the damage was fixed just not painted. It also had a ls2 in it for a week from the previous owner but a faulty valve spring screwed a lot up and the guy scraped the engine including the mounts and oil pan. The car did come with new tein coilovers, roll cage, headers, driveshaft, and a nismo gt LSD.
I had a ls1 s13 that I built previous and found this for sale so I ripped my engine and trans out and sold my s13 shell. So far I had to buy mounts which are Hinson motorsports(don' recommend) and I got my oil pan from fueled racing which are great people!! Jordan innovation wired my s13 so I sent it back to him and he should be shipping it this week!
This past weekend I got the engine and trans in, had to hammer a lot on the secondary firewall for the coil packs to fit in the valve covers. I hope to start it next weekend or maybe next week.
The plans for the car is to vinyl wrap it, get some wheels either vs-xx or Meisters.
My engine is ls1 with trick flow 220 heads, fast 102 intake, fast 92 throttle body, 42lb injectors, vrx5 cam, etc.
The car will be used for everything, mostly drifting but I will drag race it, autocross it and will be street able
The engine made 412whp tuned by Hal at dynosty on a Dyno dynamics in my s13.

Time for a small update. I got the driver side header on which I'm gonna have to pull back off and hammer it where the steering arm is(not a big deal). Now while trying to put my steering rack on I noticed that there was noway it was gonna work because the line on the gear box to the rack were hitting the oil filter relocation lines. Come to find out after talking to fueled a few other here on the forum I found out i had the wrong steering rack. Got a different and everything was solved. I'll post pics of the 2 racks. So this weekend I hope to have the clutch, power steering lines, headers installed, driveshaft tightened, brakes bled and my hydro installed.
PICS
The left rack is the wrong rack and I don't know what it goes too!

Test fitted PVC intake which will be black.

Oil pan to crossmember clearance

My cage, can I cut the rear strut brace out since my cage supports it?

Well I stopped updating because people haven't really commented...
The car has been running for a few months but only driven 4 times one being at a drift event.
This winter I will be updating a lot, as to me this is where the build gets good. The engine swap itself isn't very hard, considering I did my s13.
It's time to start getting all the parts to make the car look like a car. Like headlights, bumpers, sideskirts, since half this stuff was missing! Oh and some color!
I'm gonna be running cosmis racing wheels or the 2014 season as they have hooked me up! Glad to have a cool company onboard! As I still have amsoil and my local wheel place(Westky customs)
To do list:
Pbm steering kit
Nismo side skirts(already have them)
Aero sync bumper
Driven steering wheel
Some sort of seats
Finish cage
Stance coilovers with race springs(sold my tein)
Sway bars
Remove the speaker/glove box structure! (Pain)
Paint all suspension, undercoat car
Change the rear gear (what you recommend)
More to come
Here is a couple pictures!

Picture from a event in St. Louis! Car needed alignment bad! But I really wanted to drive tho!

Actually I had to redo everything! And the car did not come with a ending, trans, clutch hydraulics, oil pan, mounts, power steering or any of that. Long story short previous owner swapped a ls2 in it first start up and it had piston to valve issues and screwed the car up. Dude had money and scrapped the engine, hence why there no pan, mounts etc.... and everything he did was rigged to hell!! Car was never driven with a ls, which is why he didn't have so many issue with the header hitting the steering knuckle and all. I bought a fueled oil pan, fueled clutch hydraulics, made my own power steering lines, my friend made some custom solid mounts that went between the crossmember and the actual mount plate on the block cause Hinson doesn't include that. The engine and trans is from my ls1 s13 which I uses a s13 radiator and kept the hoses from it. Then Jordan innovations made me a custom harness that had it's own stand alone fuse box. So basically I only got headers and driveshaft. Lol
Depends on your goals, low-end torque levels, desired RPM at cruising speed, etc. It's a dedicated drift car and your LS2 probably has plenty of low-end torque, so I would say get the 3.7 since it's easily available or maybe the EVO 3.9 if you can find it. The 4.08 and 4.11 are probably too much to be usable with your power.
