How much air flow do you think you will gain by removing those pillars? Also ho much weaker do you think it would be if you removed all 6?

Stanchions were removed for 2 reasons, to increase plenum volume and airflow around and over the top of the runner. I have no interest in removing all six as the centers offer a lot of support. The goal of this project is to increase airflow to the plenum and then a spacer can be added to tune plenum volume. It has been proven that revup lowers do not benefit from a spacer or show very little gains, but what if the airflow is increased?

Dyno tentatively scheduled for Thursday afternoon. Will be compared against APS tallboy and Kinetix Velocity. 75mm tb will be used for all tests. Wideband will be used and I am hoping that plenum vacuum can be monitored as well.
Nonrevup lower will used with modified upper and APS upper.

Will definitely be keeping an eye on this one!

-Quick Question...Is the Kinetix V+ Intake manifold (The plastic one) worth trying? Does it have a larger inlet for the throttle body than stock?

-I am looking to run a NWP 75mm Throttle body with my set up. I was considering having the stock upper manifold inlet bored out to make a 77mm passage way...just don't know if there is that much material that can be safely removed without issue...

Thanks!!!

I have not held the lower in my hand for a few years, but aren't the bolt holes for those 4 pillars drilled all the way though, if so are you going to plug them up?

Same way APS does or we can weld them shut but that's irreversible.

3.5" Amsoil filter with internal v stack, 3.5" pipe to 75mm ID maf housing and then into samco tube which is a little over 3" ID. It's on the car and running. Dyno later

I tested it without a spacer. I will have the results tomorrow, everything went smooth doing 3 pulls with each manifold and swapping them on the dyno. All pulls in a 2 hour window.

Will you do another dyno with spacer? Then I would much like to see a MAF sensor bigger than 65mm in the mix

Can the stock ECU run a MAF housing that big?

Don't toy with my heart, man! Post the dynos!

(But seriously, I am quite interested to see what you find).
