A lot of people just go by the book.

Some say to push it every once in a while during break-in.

Some say drive it like you would normally.

Some say drive it hard.

There's some debate on the right way to do it, but you're probably safe to just follow the manual and keep it under 4K for the first 1200 miles. No long drives at constant RPM's, etc.

Congrats!

Kept mine under 4500 RPM for first 1000 mi. After about 1500mi it started to accelerate better. By the way, I'm most disapointed in my 2004 black touring convertible. I expected attention from women, but only seem to attract stares of envy from other baling middle aged guys.

I did just about the same in beaking mine in, but actually held out until 1200 miles, save for a couple of quick shots to see how well it took off. I will agree that mine accelerates better now than it did new.
As for looks, the DB seems to get an equal share of looks from both sexes, but I noticed the finger pointing and commenting some more often than with my old Sebring convertible.
