hey people very excited cause yesterday i bought a new 350z year model 2006 and i am a new member the first upgrade i want to do is the intake should i go for NISMO or any other good advice you people got
+ 1 on the pop charger. JWT all the way. Totally worth every penny. Highly recommended. You get HP gain and it sounds sooo much better than the stock filter.
Truth be known the JWT is good but it does pull air right from under the hood. That's HOT air.
HOT air has less denser. Less dense air has less 02. Less O2=less powa!

Yes, the JWT takes in warmer air, but if you think about the amount of time (which isnt that much) it takes the Cold Air Intake (CAI) to suck in air compared to a Short Ram Intake (SRI), the SRI should improve your throttle response IMO. Plus, when you are drivng on the streets/freeway, the SRI temperature is about the same as a CAI when traveling as speeds or 35mph+. IMO, the SRI was the right choice. Although any CAI improves the aesthetics of your engine bay. Remember this is an opinion, if there are any other opinions out there please feel free to enlighten me!
IMO the K&N has the best design with the front mounted scoop and a enclosed airbox with a cone filter. you can run the K&N as a short intake or a long intake. You can even get a mix of them both if you just remove the Carbon Fiber cover!
The NISMO, which is a glorified AEM design, it is prone to suck up water and has the potential the cause hydro-lock. Even with the bypass valve!
