its in the manual when you get it, but do not exceed 4000 rpms for the first 1200 miles. After that, you can have all the fun you want. Congrats and remember to post some pics whenever you get it!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations. Don’t redline the engine on the way from the dealer to home. Then read the manual.

todays engines dont actualy require a lot of break in, you are better to vary the rev/load range etc during the first 1000 miles to get the best performance from your new engine

Your going to have two choices: follow what the people who built the car say or listen to those who say drive it hard from the get-go.

Personally, I'll opt for what the car builder says.

drive it like you stole it right off the lot... Seriously, you don't need to break the engine im. Once the rings set which happens about 15 minutes after you first start a motor up for the first time. The engine is good to go. I've built numerous race motors for my race car and everyone of them was runing 8000rpms 20 minutes after I first fired them up on on engine dyno. Never had a single problem with any of them.

I was just dying to say this and I know you really shouldn't with a new car but I've been drinking so what the hell.

DRIVE IT, LIKE YOU STOLE IT!

Got the hat!

+1 just make sure to change your oil at 1-1,500 miles as it contains break in lube from buildup on cams, etc. so dont wait until 3or 4 thousand to change it, then put a quality motor oil in it.

I've Had Mine For About 2 Weeks And Sometimes The Clutch Pedal Sticks To The Floor. I'm Trying To Break It In Properly But I'm A Little Worried. The Dealer Said Just Bring It In A 1500 Miles For The Check Up Which Will Prob Be Next Week. I Get On It Every Once And A While But I Do Pretty Go On Breakin It In What Could Make It Do This.
