Cool Finally..after almost 3 years: 2006 Daytona Blue Enthusiast

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHAAAAAAAATS UPPPPPPPPP!!!

Well, I've been a long time member here (since June '03) and I've payed attention very closely to postings. Although I've been there that long, I don't post as much as you can see by my post count.

After keeping my research up to date and saving my $, I finally did what I have been waiting to do: got a 2006 Daytona Blue Enthusiast 6 speed MT.

I've been driving a 4 cylinder automatic camry for over 6 years. I feel like I am 16 all over again or something along those lines. hehe. Funny thing is this is my first manual car. Difference is night and day. I love it though..I know how the mechanics of shifting..practiced with friends' cars. However you really don't learn it unless you have a car of your own or something you can use constantly. My big problem is uphill and going from a stop. I am probably the SLOWEST Z driver on this board. hahaha...TRUE FACT. Heck..I am slower than most grannies...but I don't care. I am learning to drive all over again. (300 HP, 260 ft/tq TQ, RWD, MT) vs. (130 HP, 144 ft/lb TQ, FWD, Auto). This car is so awesome..I feel like I am in a pod when I drive....its so damn snug and not to mention...PIMP.

Purchased at DARCARS of Rockville, MD. Sales team were professional and yes...there was a bit of haggling..but not too much for me to walk away from. I got her couple of days ago, and I parked pretty damn close to the curb yesterday I should be more careful..didn't know I was so close to hitting it. I would have been so pissed. Anywho..enough of me rambling..here ya go..pics before banishment

CONGRATS!!!! You'll love it! I remember trading in my civic for my Evo than that POS Evo for my Touring. Such an upgrade! Now be as patient with the mods and you'll be set!

After talking about getting a 350Z for 30 months, I thought that you were never going to do it. This is a pleasant surprise.

Maybe I’ll see you at Altered Atmosphere on March 4.

Beautiful car!! I plan on ordering the exact same one a week from today. When you get a chance, can you take some pics of the interior? Also, how was the drive on the stock tires in the cold? I'm a little north of you, and it dropped back down into the 20's yesterday. Just curious how your drive was. Congrats!

If there was snow or wet roads..I wouldn't drive. Everything here is dry so driving has been fine except for this morning. I gased it a bit much in first and I felt my back end starting to break loose. I was like.. but I eased out fine. One note I would like to make is that my tires are like 36-38 psi cold. After I run the car for a good 20 miles or so I've seen it as high as 44 and 45 psi. Is this alright ?

Well here are the pics you asked for dude.
