I was also surprised, seen a 2003 model, and it only had the cd player.
Was very surprised to see a casette deck, jeez when last have I seen a casette? Back in the damn 80's

At least it takes 6 CD's though, which is nice

 

Hey great to see another Wellingtonian Z I have a le mans 05 roadster . The NZ 300ZX club has a few 350,s my sig on there is boneman. If you are anything like me you wont be able to keep out of the car ( Ive done 30 K in 7months ). The only fault I have found so far is the crappy potenza's. get in touch and we should go for a cruise someime

 

you sure you have the GT cause mine comes with brembo brakes and rays forged wheels ,yours might be the touring model .

 

well maybe it's different from the US z nice car by the way.

Its not sold as a GT here, but comparing the specs in USA, my model is closest to a GT model than any other US model.

Yeah, they do look nice dropped.

I'm starting to go away from CD's and move to just DVD, havent seen a tape for at least 6 years now.
I reckon the only reason the tape version was used, was to fill the space with the bigger unit????

 

Nah, they put a new HU in US Z's now, none of them have the tape player anymore. My '04 touring with Bose had a tape player but my '06 touring with Bose doesn't...it's a slightly different head unit.

 

Would you mind posting a pic of the new head unit?
