Default WRX to a 350Z

Alright so I currently own a 05 WRX with 7000K miles on it and I'm considering selling it for a 06 base 350Z which is what I wanted originally. The WRX is a good car it just has to many little annoying problesm: rattly interior, nothcy transmission, terrible ac, ridiculous insurance rates etc. I coule go on but I won't. Anyway I was just wondering if theirs any majors issues/problems (like the ones I have with my WRX) that I should know about. Examples: any crappy transmissions, or rattly interiors or insanely high insurance. Basically just list your pros and cons for the car. Thanks.

i've had my 03z (6spd m/t)since 4/03 and the only problem with it was the power windows which were replaced under warranty. The dealer also had the front end re-aligned with two new tires at 7k miles. Yeah...there was an annoying rattle in the instrument panel and the dealer fixed it last year in no time. i'm quite happy with it otherwise. Nissan builds good engines imo. WRX is not my cup of tea ...my buddy had one and got rid of it in less than six months. Nohing but trouble.

Oh yeah hows the quality of the paint on a 350Z? The wrx and all subarus for that matter have very horrible very swirl prone paint.

I was hoping to get a 06 base model with side/curtain airbags ($650 option) for at most $29,000 out the door (thats including tax/licensing and after trade in of my WRX). Does this sound at least like a possible price (I know you can't know for sure) but just a general idea?

29k is possible, i got my 06 base with side curtains, and that paint protector film for 28k otd. Good luck man. Oh and I owned an 02 wrx not an 05 by any means but the 06 Z is hands down a better car construction wise and more fun to drive.

The WRX looks ugly as hell as well . . . . .

Good luck in choosing the Z, the Z will be my first car and I'm going to love every bit of it.

The Z deifnitely looks better but the WRX is kind of attractive in its own way but thats just my opinion.
I only got the WRX over the Z to begin with because I didnt think I could get away with a 2 seater but I think that was a mistake.

I don't know theres part of me that really loves my WRX but then there's those few nagging inescapable issues. Anyway I'm going to go test drive some tommorow and see what I think.

I wouldn't worry about anything if you're purchasing an '06 all the possible problems were in the 03s and some 04s.

$29,000 OTD is definately possible for a base, I paid $30,000 for an enthusiast with all the little options(side airbags, bla bla). OTD, it was $27,400 w/out tax and stuff. You need to call or go to every single dealer in your area, and see how low they go. Good luck!
