Default Whats a good Alarm that will keep people from getting close to or touching my Z?

hey guys just bought an 05 350z last week. The first day I took it to school it got dinged. Now i park at the very top of the parking deck away from people so hopefully that problem is solved. 4 days later the hood gets keyed at work. This I think I wont be able to avoid no matter where i park. So my question is... What kind of alarm that is reasonably priced can i have installed that will chirp when someone gets to close to the car and go off or something when someone actually touches it. I know this wont totally prevent people from keying my car but I think it will deter alot of it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And i already did use the search and founf that post. It doesn't cover the question i asked about a reasonably priced alarm that will chirp when someone gets near the car and go off when someone touches it.

I would get loJack for theft recovery man. It won't help you out if someone scratches or does sum type of damage to your car but if you ever go somewhere and end up not being able to find your car, the lawmen will find it for you. Now for a darn good alarm, I recommend this product called AsianWolf. They have this package deal that I got. I payed $450+. Right now, they have a deal for around $200. Again I SERIOUSLY RECOMMEND getting this product man. My brother-in-law has this product also. Someone broke into his car (Just a Toyota Avalon.. nothing special lol) and he had the person on video (We were outside of restaurant around 9pm). We contacted the police on the spot, we showed them the clip that we got (Around 5 - 10 clips - by clips i mean pictures) and they got the suspect in less than 10 minutes. It was an employee of the restaurant. Oh yea, another thing is that you can connect this footage on to your computer and grab a clip from it. You can probably give it to the local authoritie and I'm pretty sure they will have some type of tracking software for muggshots. Anyway, GET THIS. I guarantee you that you won't regret it. Installation for me was about 60 dollars.

My Main Objective Is To Keep People From Keying My Car. I Don't Care About A Tracking Chip Or Any Of That. I Just Want Something That Will Chirp When You Get To Close

Take the .308 most days, the .22 LR for more casual dress.

I think that the kind of people who ding and scratch cars are the exact same kind of people who ignore chirping alarms ... and there is a percentage of these people who will actually ding or scratch your car because it is chriping at them (showing disrespect to them).

Miniguns that shoot depleted uranium mounted to the car ought to do the trick.

invest in a daily commuter/beater and ride the z on the weekendz~ can't stop someone from keying your car with a simple alarm or any alarm for that matter...it'll turn out cheaper than repainting your car every time a f***head does something stupid

yes. that might do the trick. but your teeth, hair, and nails might fall off over repeated exposure.

I think the sad fact is, if you dont want anyone to key your Z, the best thing to do is to not own one. But I think a chirping alarm does more harm than good. My dad once told he walked by this Subaru w/ prox sensors and the thing went off and almost gave him a heart attack, so he keyed the car.

Keying it is not impacting it according to the folks at circuit city. They said with the shock sensor that they were able to tap on the car without it going off. They said they had to give it a good thud before it went off
