Default Brembo brakes

I am shopping for a new Z roadster and see that the main difference between the touring and grand touring models are the Brembo brakes, which add about $ 2,300 to the price. Are they worth the upcharge?

you get lighter and bigger wheels. 19's in the back. tires are wider all the way around. i think it also comes with the aero option...front lip and rear spoiler.

i'm sure others will chime in that know the exacts

Yes, Brembos are worth it.
Nice clean look with deep dish aftermarket wheels.

Also consider that the calipers alone cost around 800-1000 per caliper.
So yes it's worth it.

Exacts...

Grand Touring wheels are made by Rays Engineering and are forged and "super-light weight" (marketing term). Fronts are 18x9 and rears are 19x10. also, they have a more aggressive offset so they are more flush with the sides of the fender wells. Looks HAWT!

Grand touring tires are wider and higher performance (bridgestone re050a versus the standard re040).

Grand touring tire sizes: front - 245/40-18, rear 265/35-19.
Touring tire sizes: front 225/45-18, rear 245/45-18

Yes, there are more aero panels and spoilers under the car too - not sure how much difference they make. My 06 GT seems to have less wind noise on the highway than my wife's 06 enthusiast.

I thought it was worth it! and still do, 6-months later...

Just an FYI
I got the Bremboo's on my Sentra,
I have a friend on here...Billy (BlueperformaceZ) I drove his with the brembo's
MAN is there a difference and I wish I would have gotten them

GET THEM, ITS WORTH it
Also Bendix makes a crossdrilled and Cermaic package for it
Relatively cheap, man it will stop on a dime
just my .02

Correct me if I am wrong, but the super lightweight 18/19 combo only comes with the coupes, track or Grand Touring.

Default Brembo brakes

Thanks for the input. The roadster I was interested in is a new 2005. The tire specs are quoted as follows:" P225/45WR18 (front) and P245/45WR18 (rear)high-performance tires". Might the 2006 GT models be different ?

You only get the forged 18" front and 19" rear wheels if its a coupe. Roadsters just have 18's front and rear (non-forged) wheels. This applies to 2005 and 2006 models.
