I figure I should start here

Hello I am Evan and I just picked up a 2004 z coupe. I am slowly looking to turn it into a very well built NA car, without too much flash. I will probably be asking all sorts of great n00b questions, so bear with me.

Welcome. It seems you and I have similar goals. I want a well built N/A car myself. I have an 04 also that I just got, its Black, yours?

Check out the drag section to get an idea of how fast some of the N/A only cars can get on the quarter.
