Default RX-8 Convertee here

Sup everyone, just traded in my '04 RX-8 for an '07 6MT PPW Enthusiast. I don't think pics are really necessary until I have something worth posting . Have lots of reading to do in the meantime!

Welcome! What are your first thoughts of your Z in comparison to the RX-8? I almost bought one so I'm curious how they are past the test drive.

It's sorta hard to say at the moment. I drove the RX-8 for almost 4 years, and i've driven the Z for about 20 minutes haha. I did notice one thing so far, the clutch in the Z has a bit more travel than the RX-8 did, just something i'll have to get used to. Definitely sounds "beefier" than the RX-8 did.

Reason I decided to trade her in were:

1. The RX-8 is depreciating at a pretty sad rate, and since I had just paid her off I figured I would cut my losses.

2. I never used the back seat, ever.

3. I had the GT model with nav and all the creature comforts, wanted to get back to a car that would help me "feel" the road again.

4. Lack of power and gas mileage was god awful.

5. Lack of a decent aftermarket, any modification to the renesis was pretty much a waste of time and money. Engine swap was the only thing worth doing.

6. I hate black cars, don't get me wrong they're sexy when clean but that feeling lasts for 30 minutes?

Besides the aforementioned list, the RX-8 was definitely a pleasure to drive. As many people have pointed out before, the Z and the 8 are two different beasts. To each their own!

I had a black 05 RX8, droped rims it was nice. I just wished i got the SPF kit for it. My friend got one and Dynoed at 356whp with a tune and some other things. Don't know what he did but the car feels great. But you will see soon that the Z out powers the 8 left and right.

The manual will take you a day to read, but it's worth it.
