Default 240 -> 350

Hello all, my name is Roger. I have recently totaled my 240 about a month ago, so now I have been in search of a newer car, a Z of course . Just though I'd introduce myself before anything.

I have not puchased a Z yet, however I am still looking, hopefully within the next two months I will be a proud owner and not just a lurker. The Z of course will be used for my daily driver.

Sorry about the 240. How many miles did you have on it? Test drive the 350 and it will be all over.

Its all good. This happened for a reason (i.e. me getting the Z). I had 235,XXX miles on the body and 80,XXX on the motor. When I first bought her I swaped out the old 91 KA and dropped in a 95 KA with plans on rebuilding and going turbo. But of course my plans fell short as of my accident.

I have already test drove the Z. And I must say the redline comes up faster then I thought.

well, good choice on settling on the Z. Just make, you don't get ripped off by the dealerships. Study the financial #'s, and you also can start planning on making a "mods list" already. Hope you've learned a lot on the various parts that work and don't work well with the Z. Did you research the insurance rates on these bad boys yet?

My dad did, he had a 72 240Z then a 280ZX then a 91 300ZX and now a 350Z.

Its funny too with all of his Z's, our last name starts with a Z and so thats why I think he keeps going back to them.

I had a 98 240sx that had a lot of blood and money put into it. I bought it as an auto, and converted it to a standard. I pieced together a turbo kit for it and had a lot of fun with it. I had it for 2 years until I hit a pole in the snow. 350Z feels nothing like a 240sx. It feels a whole lot better! Thats still not to say that I wont be building another 240sx in the future though!

True. As I also have plans to build up another 13 in the future. But first the Z!

lol that sucks having your last name start with a Z, you're always the last one to be called during roll in class during grade school ...
