I'm glad we're not flooding these posts with half baked sympathy and words of comfort for this guy. If I ever do something as stupid and get severely hurt or die, I wouldn't expect or deserve any sympathy from others.

Ok, can we stop addressing posts to this guy? It's kind of hard for him to check and/or respond while in the ICU. Is he intubated? Ventilated? Intracranial drain? Placed in a pharmalogical coma?

i'm not sure if all these comments of him being a retard is going to help him? especially because im sure hes damn aware of what he's done and how stupid it was... ive done some stupid things and nothing compares to this and i remember how i kept calling myself a retard for that... i couldnt imagine what hes going through
I thought the Z' crowd were for more mature drivers but i see some cruel posts it just reminds me of the srt-4 forums/rsx forums

"Oh, I'm so sorry for what happened, I hope you feel better."
"It's gotta be the car's fault, it shouldn't have lost control at 100mph on a uneven residential street."
I think this guy is getting a lot of heat from members on this forum because we are more mature (well, some of us), and we're sick of seeing people with more hormones than senses killing themselves and getting those around them involved. He deserves some ridicule for what he's done.

Seriously, does anyone know the latest on him, if he's survived over the last few days, or if he's expected to make a good recovery or not?
Brain injuries are horrific things. Yes, he did a stupid thing and paid an enormously high price, but he's still a human being with family and friends who love him and must be worried sick with grief right now. Spare a moment's sympathy for them, at least.

I have seen this guy at my job. He was an IT guy. I never really met him though. I did hear today that he has a brain injury and is in a coma right now. He'll never be the same person if he even survives it. He made an immature decision and now he has to pay for it for the rest of his life. Kids do these things we all did, I am just glad that I made it.

Now when Houstonians see a young person in a Z = a careless, wreckless driving b@$t@rd.
I totaled my ppw Z this month as well but it wasn't from street racing.
I was an agressive driver but i'm not the same driver as before.

Well thats the good thing about automobile prices in Canada. The 350Z costs about 52K minimum to get on the road here (new). So you don't see a lot of really young kids driving them. There is the odd kid that gets a car like a 350Z as a present from parents that spend too much time at work and want to make up for their lack of attention with generosity. But, as a perhaps unfair generalization, I think giving inexperienced, immature drivers the key to a 300+ hp car is a recipe for disaster everytime. Maybe he bought it himself? I guess higher insurance is the only thing to discourage that.
