Default Driving in winter

I recently bought a 2007 350Z (base coupe). I was wondering whether anyone who has driven this car in the winter time help me with some information on how this car handles winter weather (both with and without snow on the road). Anyone have any suggestions on how to make it winter worthy? Or do I HAVE to buy a cheap car to drive during the winter months? Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated. Loving the car so far. Can't wait until I break-in the engine.

just like insurance quotes, how one person drives in the winter can not compare to another. you will get many ideas tossed at you, but the main point is still present. best advice is to try it for yourself and if it does not suit you, do not drive it when and if there is snow on the ground.

I have driven my car through a few winters (I have a base model)... you CANNOT drive on the stock tires.the first snow I had it in I got stuck at work and couldn't get out of the parking space!!. then I had avon a/s tires on the stock 18s and was able to make it through snow fine.

now I have my summer UHP goodyear eagles and a Nismo LSD and drove through snow again, perfectly fine all winter and through three snow storms. I was only sidelined one day when the ice anchored my car through the spokes of my rims and onto the undercarriage (I am lowered as well) to the pavement... and I had to wait for it to melt.

I could not let off the gas without pushing in the clutch or the car would spin, because of the aggressive diff, but other than that it was able to go through some nasty weather...

I wouldn't recommend it though.
