Default New Z owner

hello ive been browising the site for a while n finally decided to go ahead n join up.

Name's Danny I have an 04 Daytona Blue Metallic enthusiast model.

mods so far

17" 5zigen FNO1R-C wheels

Tanabe Ultra Medalion Titanium exhaust

Turbonetics Turbo Kit

But right now the z has seen better days. Blown seals on the turbonetics turbo and oil got everywhere even got into the intake tract and ruined the MAF sensor. Had a compression test done and the motor is gone to.

So now its time to go built. I was planning on doing this over the winter anyway but looks like its gonna be a summer project instead.

Im taking it all in stride though might as well make the most of it ya know.
Arias low comp pistons are going in. Now when it comes to the connection rods i've been considering the ones made by Eagle. Anybody here can attest to there strength n reliability? How much whp can they handle? Just curious since they are like half the cost of the pauter rods.

Also lookin for recommendations on a turbo as well not putting another turbonetics in. Lookin to swap to a GT35 but lookin to get one that spools up better and flows more than the the turbonetics 60-1

Hi Danny. How long have you had your 04? Good luck with the rebuilt. It sounds like she's in a bit of sad state at moment.

Thanks its definately gonna be interesting. But its no where near as bad as i thought it would be since the z's actually have an aftermarket.

my previous car an 03 Hyundai Tiburon the aftermarket was non existent. other than a few speciality shops. and a couple body kit makers, intake, headers, and exhaust we didnt have much more. so we constantly had to go out innovate and design things on our own with nothing but good ole trial and error. So we had to contribute and help each other to make our community grow other wise nothing would get done.

Wow the Tiburon really are a popular car in the US. So many Tib owners becoming Z owners.
