Hi, Im soon to be a new 350z or G35 owner.
Yes, as the title says, I am going to be a 350z or G35 owner soon. I live in the middle of nowhere Illinois. Im starting a new job soon and i am going to finally buy one of these cars, i am very excited. Im also excited to find a place to talk to other Nissan fans like myself
. I know a little bit about the 350z and cars in general, but i want to learn more. I still need to decide to which car to get, but whatever i get i will drop a lot of time and money in to it to make it a beast :P
Any suggestions are welcome! Ive got a decent budget and lots of time on my hands (summer break from highschool, and college classes are spaced out).

Thank you. I love the Z. It is such a sleek looking ride, i cant wait to get one. My goal (more of a fantasy really) is to push 800+ horsepower from a Z. All wheel drive would be cool too. All dreams right now though.
I was also thinking about getting a fairlady or a nismo Z. What are the differences between a regular 350z and a FairladyZ?

the difference is a body kit, and i think the suspension is a little different get a normal z same hp and tq rating. If you can get a 07 they are pretty damn fast. 800 hp that would be great i hope your banking more than i am lol.
Their aren't much performance parts out for the 07 yet though it seems all the parts are available for 03-06 z's. I don't know whats going to happen to the 07 z with performance parts because it seems like they will be retiring that engine very soon for the next 3.8 liter engine in the next z which they have pics of already in mule form.
also don't worry about all the haterz on the forum its seems like theirs more every day "grammar police".
Ill try to think what your next post might be so ill try to answer it. you: "how fast should a z run the 1'4 mile?
answer is: 03-06 have ran the best of: 13.6 in stock form but it seems like most of the 03 and 04 z are quicker in the 1/4 mile then the rest but the 06 have a mean top end.
07 stock form the best time is i beleive: 13.3 or 13.2

I actually was going to ask how fast the 1/4 mile was. Thats a pretty quick 1/4 from a stock 3.5L.

If you don't care about a sun roof or the capacity to tow a trailer, the biggest practical difference between the two is probably the existence of a back seat.
I went through that same comparison thing a year ago. I opted for the Z as I don't need to be carrying more than one passenger. You can fit more into a Z than people imagine with a little planning, but really can't get a third passenger in without cutting them up.
