Default new 07 350z from westco nissan..

Just got a 2007 Enthusiast 6 speed.. but this thing makes tranny noises like a pig. Starting off in first sounds like a click clack chatter, and when im idling in neutral with my foot off the clutch theres the same sound until i depress the clutch... Nissan says its normal.. Does anyone else get these clatter noises? Is it my clutch or is it my tranny? I only have 400 miles.. and its been doing it since I got it.

yea its normal. watch out for the clutch problem the 07's are having. if the clutch starts sticking to the floor take it back to the dealer because thats not normal. i had my 07's clutch, flywheel, and slave cylinder replaced at 2,900mi. it took almost a month for the parts to come in from japan. they said the parts were on back order so if you start to experence this just tell them you are aware of the problem and you want the parts ordered asap. if i remember right it was like 1 in 3 people had this problem with there 07's on these forums.

I have the 07 and think the clutch is great. Shifts smooth, not problems whatsoever. Hmmm, maybe you have a bad car or something.

Didn't you drive it before you bought it. That would have been a good time to resolve the issue and research it.

Most performance clutches chatter it's normal. How do people not notice this kind of stuff when they test drive the car, that's the whole point of a test drive.

I did test drive it. I didn't really notice it when I was at the dealership. After driving it for a while I noticed it.

I get that same damn noise when it's idling, and then I press the clutch in and it's gone. WTF????

Crabbing is open and oysters are still good. I'll post a get-together on the regional forum.

It's normal. 5000 miles for me and no problems. Haven't had the clutch pedal stick to the floor, but I don't press it all the way to the floor either.

Probably because in most cases you only get to test drive a car for 10 minutes at the most. I reckon you need to drive a car for at least 40 mins to an hour to get to know the characteristics of a car the first time you drive, whatever make or model.
