Rule #1 - Do not buy used w/o an independent inspection, it's worth a few bucks to know what you're getting.

What year specifically?

2005+ should not have many problems, other than oil consumption.

Yes it absolutely applies no matter where you buy it!
If a seller is not willing to have a mechanic inspect the car, be wary!

i wouldn't buy older than 05, but i haven't had oil issues like i hear. i would really get a mechanic to take a look @ it if buying used. good luck and yes post pictures

If you want to be a savvy buyer, do your research and know more than the salesperson(pretty easy if it's a dealership).

Learn the trim lines and how they differed and the changes that occurred from year to year. Wasn't much change until 2006 and the few options have been consistent.
Here's a good place for basics: You can click on the different years. http://www.nissanhelp.com/Models/200...escription.htm

When you have that somewhat down, you can understand better the discussions you'll find here by using the search button.

You'll be glad you did it.
