Hey guys im a new proud owner of a Dan Marino blue 07(not a typo thats what i call it) haha, and i just want to say that i love the car and is a great transition from my very annoying evo, it wasnt a very good DD. Miss the power but i think i made the right descion, except for the fact that i got the base model and no lsd kinda sucks, but great none the less. will post picks soon.

 

nice, u picked the best color imo. but yeah dont expect to run 11's with only $1500 in mods the z u gotta pay very high to play but its fun and hope u enjoy it

 

Thanks man i do love it and i know it was the best desicion, its funny i bought an exhaust for 400 bucks and a $50 tune and did 7.9@87 in the 1/8th mile, that car was nuts but i also went through 3 clutchs and blew 2 synchros lol

Oh, BTW, the '07 Z has more than proven it's speed... it's now officially trapped as high as I've ever seen a stock Evo IX trap (107mph) and is running the quarter almost as quick (13.2).

I just sold my 03 evo and got an 04 performance and I am freaking lovin it. My evo only had 30k miles and it was falling apart. The Z just fits me so much better, its not nearly as quick or the same handling but for a daily greatly overcomes that. I thought I would regret it but so far not at all.

 

That would be because you didn't take care of it. My Evo has 26k and I haven't had one issue.

yes it was modded, and plus the evo had different power delivery so it felt way faster. i was suprised on how fast the z was. btw love the picture of the dan marino z haha

 

Thats pretty crazy i never thought their that fast, The evo wasnt that bad as a dd it just got annoying sometimes i never seemed like i could ever find the right gear to just cruz. it was either too high of an rpm or too low, and the tune i had was too aggressive and i had really aggressive transition in timing so it would jerk a little when i lifted off throttle during boost.

 

And where's your proof? So far, it's on-par with an Evo IX's trap speed but still 4/10s off from the quickest I've seen one run in the US (they ran a 12.6 in Japan).

And his Evo was modded, which we all know DAMN WELL bolt-on for bolt-on an Evo will hand the Z it's ***.

And before you throw in the whole "slap a turbo on the Z" argument, click on the first link in my sig. That'll put that to rest REAL quick.

The '07 has been PROVEN to trap just as high as an Evo. As far as stock "fast" is concerned, they're on par with each other.
