Default New Owner

On Monday I purchased a slightly used '03 Track model in Daytona Blue. The previous owner did not drive it much at all! It has 3908 miles on it. He had some upgrade done to take care of a caster/camber alignment issue but left the vehicle all stock besides that. He also had all the service receipts which he turned over to me.

The plates expired so I'm running with a temporary tag and working on my list of possible vanity plate ideas.

I managed to get a quick shot of the car yesterday since it was dry and sunny here for a change. I've attached a thumbnail for now.

Looking forward to exchanging ideas and seeing just what I can do to make this car a little faster.

ps: This is my second Z. I owned a 280ZX some years ago but had to give it up as the family needed more transport space.

Nice Purchase man, it's hard to find an older 350Z with low miles on it.

CongratZ and Welcome to the Z community and my350z.com.

Nice!

Thanks, zerohurst. Yeah, I feel like I scored on this one. Can't wait to hit the track this spring and summer. It's been wayyy too long since I've been on a road course!

ThankZ for the welcome!

There are quite a few. It would narrow down to looks, and how much you want to spend.

All right. I'll do a google or some such search. I'm looking for function, which I assume all have the same functionality, and quality. If it works good and is high quality and I don't like the finish, I can strip and powdercoat it to my liking.

Thanks.

LOL, meaj82. I don't think this Z will stay stock for long. Great winter project for me. I just finished my Blazer so I have a winter driver.

Congrats. You might try enjoying the car for awhile before you start chopping it up. Welcome to the forum too. You might try the regional sub-forum to hook up with other Z owners.

Thanks for the welcome and the tip on the regional forums. I won't be "chopping it up" so much as working to improve some things.

I want to stay all motor - no forced induction. So better air in and out with intake/exhaust mods is where I am initially going. Maybe a custom tune plus some head work.

I want to do a little bit to improve the suspension - it's great but needs a bit of sway control, IMHO.

The sound system sucks so that is definitely needing some upgrading.

I'm definitely not going to change much, if anything, on the outside. I love the color, the style and the presence of the car. I'm not too fond of the wheel color but love them Ray's forged wheels.

There's a lot of good info here! I spent some time over the long holiday weekend doing some research. I appreciate the knowledge that has been gathered here and I am sure I'll find it very helpful.
