Just dropping by...
Been lurking around the forums for about a week. I don't own a Z, but I've been considering getting one. Right now I own a '95 Eclipse. I'll be selling that soon as I've met all of my goals for it. I'll be getting another DSM eventually, I love those cars, but for now I want a Z.
Here are some pictures of my Eclipse:

A few things have changed on it since those pictures but it's basically the same. I don't have any dyno numbers/track times for it yet. DSMlink (fuel/engine managment) puts it well over 300whp. I've got to dial in the tune and hit up the dyno. All work was done by me.
Anyway, hopefully this place turns out to be a good place to hit up for info. I don't plan on anything for the Z except for some nice wheels and tint. I'm still going through college so I think I'll take it easy on modding for a while. Too many other things to focus on.

vo,
Yes, I swapped the front bumpers. I wasn't a big fan of the "smiley-face" bumper the 95/6 models came with. Plus the 97-99 bumpers allowed more air to flow into the front mount.
Thanks for the compliments guys! I'm test driving a Z tomorrow or this weekend. I'm pretty excited.

Slick Eclipses is it a GSX turbo and you moded it or did you Turbo Charge it yourself I didn't see the GSX emblem anywhere.
Anyway 300whp is pretty impressive for a front wheel drive vehicle. In a way i like that body style best for the Eclipses. Not that the thinner body style wasn't sharp also.
With the 350Z pending which year you almost with have 300hp N/A or exceed that , 289hp 03-06 or 306hp in 07-08. Now thats not delivered to the rear wheel as I assume you Eclipses is doing.
Welcome to the forum I'd like to see what you could do with Z, after looking at your Eclipses.

I'm looking at an 03 Touring. I've searched and read through a lot of threads concerning the tire feathering, tranny problems, axles, and window problems. I'll be sure to check all of that out when I go up to test drive it.
I'll probably keep it stock though, except for window tinting (black leather). The problem is if I modify it, I like to go big. When I graduate I'll worry about FI, for now, I'm just looking for a sleek cruiser.
Looks like I won't be getting the Z for a little while longer... Really sucks because I planned on picking it up in a couple weekends. I found an 05 with 20k miles that I really liked.
Bad news is the Eclipse had a bad compression test... Not sure exactly what the cause is yet. But hopefully I get it figured out and can get it running and sold.
