HI everyone, finally got my first Z a bright bouncing baby o7 grand touring! Woo Hoo! This is a lot faster than my Dad's 1972 240z that is for sure!

Since mods are out of the question for some time (big pmts) anyone have any 1/4 mile track times for the 306 Hp 07 and 08 versions STOCK?

I remember helping him wash and wax his 240 Z on Sundays when I was 7years old. He let me take my first wife (girlfriend at the time) on a weekend trip 1 1/2 hr drive away and I fell in love with the car I grew up waxing! He still has it and if I didn't move down to Texas from Perrysburg Ohio in 92 I would be driving it still (or own it)!! He hardly ever drives it and over the past 35 years it may have been in the rain 3 times!

I think he is looking to sell it but not sure.

Oh and there is no fricken comparison between it and my new (used) 07!! On my days to drive (wife and I alternate days!) it is a tough decision between driving the Harley or the Z to work.

I need to get some of my dad's 240 before he sells it though!

lots of info for mods! It seems to me they are, on average, even higher than the mods to my cummins!!

I was supposed to take it to the track in San Antonio tonight but the rain put the cabash to that!

I need to hear some exhausts live before I even think about changing out! I was kind of thinking first thing to do is to downsize to a nice shiny blue pulley, cost wise anyways!!

DavidZ gave me a link to learn some "drag ettiquette" and launch techniques so I ready give it a shot when the weather breaks.

Anyone from Austin area ever meet up?
