Default Trunk Release

Hello Everyone,
I'm Ross and I just bought my 04 black 6MT Enthusiast last week. I obviously bought it used, and the salesperson had no clue about anything on the car. Lucky for her, I showed her a few features that I knew of, just from my love of the car for years. Anyway, either I'm completely retarded or there really isn't a hatch release button on the interior of the car? Is the only hatch release on the key fob? Not that it really matters that much, but I was just curious. Thanks, and glad to be part of the forum!

there's also a little thing you pull located underneath the rear strut bar if you want to pop it from inside

Yeah, the pull tab under the rear strut is an emergency way to open the hatch from inside. You should probably familiarize yourself with it in case of......emergencies. Other that that the only way is via the key fob or the rubberized release outside just above the license plate. Good luck and congratulations.

Its also worth noting that this button is only active if the doors are unlocked.
