What got you interested in the Z?
I guess i'll start. The shape of the body and the sound of the engine is what got me to choose the Z over the RX8. I also thought that the tower in the back was a unique thing to put in.
Bang for Buck... I was looking specifically for a fun car to drive after i banged up my old Acura which i took better care of then myself.. After years of car payments and keeping the car looking great i totaled it with 80,000 miles after dropping to liability the month after my last payment becoming owner.. Well the next day i took off of work and told myself i wasn't home coming until i had something. Well long story short i was only insterested in Used 2004 EVO's, (2002-2004)WRX's or specifically a Black on Black 350Z any year with decent miles. After countless cars most with tinted windows or obvious beaters i stumbled across a 2004 black Z just coming off lease. Long Story short i wasn't leaving till i got the car. Since then i've had tons of fun sunday driving late night driving an highway driving.. Turns are a blast and are addictive and the exhaust note is music to my ears..

I had to leave work and go buy a flame suit before answering this, but honestly. The first time I ever saw a 350z was in F&F: Tokyo Drift. Creamed my jeans at the movie theatre and knew I would have to have one. And now I do!
I've been a Z-car fan since the 280Z since that time I've owned a Z-car almost every year it was made. Rather it was called a Datsun or Nissan they make some great, reliable, not outrageously expensive and nice looking Sports cars. The 350Z is just one of the many Z-cars that I have enjoyed to me the Z32 & Z33 are the two best body designs. But it's really hard not to like the simple functinality of a rugged 240 or 280Z. I wish I could have kept all of them.
I like and test drive other Sports Cars but I buy Z-cars!!!

Well, I do not own one yet, but I have been biding my time since I found out they were coming out with the Z33 back in the day. My dad owned 3 Z cars, 1 280Z, and 2 Z31 style 300ZXs. The last one was my car for 6 months back in high school. Then my little brother wrecked it when he wasn't supposed to be driving.
Anyway, I guess it is because of my dad that I fell in love with the Z cars. He wants a 350 as well, but at 6'5" he does not fit in them. The old Z31s had more leg room than the new ones do (that and he is 20 years older now, so he does not bend quite as well).

looks, and the sound of the VQ engine has always been something you could distinguish from everyone else....for an entry level sports car, you got a lot out of the car....that was back a few years ago.....didn't get on till 07 (woohoo HR!!) but was definetly wavering back and forth between s2k and 07 z
First time I saw one on the road.. drove past me as I was turning into my neighborhood, looked amazing, sounded amazing, and I pretty much decided immediately that I was getting a Z as soon as I could afford it.
The VQ sound was about it, cause i knew NOTHING about the car untill after i bought it.
I never thought of actually owning one 'till i got bored one Saturday and went out to test drive cars, with no intention to buy any, just wanted to drive some cars! lol
I kinda stumbled across the Z at one of the dealerships i went to, and decided to take her for a drive. It litteraly took less then 10 mins of driving before i told the salseman who was with me to get the paperwork ready once we got back to the delership!! And honestly I really couldn't afford it at the time, but i had to have it after that first drive! Then i decided i'd figure out how i'm gonna pay for it after i have the keys in my hand!!
Definatly the most impulsive purchase i have ever made!! I haven't regreted it for one second!
I tell all my friends now that are interested in test driving one to make sure they are financially ready to own one! 'cause as soon as they drive it they are gonna want one!! I've seen it happen twice already! lol

This is the first Nissan i've own & i've EXTREMELY happy with my purchase compare to all my previous cars (Mostly Hondas). I really like the power (Major upgrade compares to my hondas), the look, 2 seater, engine sound & you can beat 306HP for only a little over 30K.
I fell in love with the 240 when it first came out and wanted one but couldn't afford it. I've wanted one ever since. Never got one, life got in the way, family, and the rest. Well the kids grew up, and I was still in love with that car, and a few months ago I picked up a brand new silver alloy Touring Roadster. It was well worth the wait. Now everytime I open the garage door I stare at it, still not believing that I get to drive this thing every day...
Being a forty+ guy, I had choose 3 different cars to look at, 1-Corvette 2-boxster 3-Z
with out going into all the details I choose the z. I felt it had the power, and the looks, and as said before, the best dollar to dollar, bang for the buck. I didnt have to go deep to buy a new one, compared to the others. The only down point is the resale, doesn't hold its value very well.
