It really is considered a true "sports car"?

I'm sorry, I just can't think of a Saturn Ion clone with 180rwhp as a sports car...
Does this mean the Celica GTS was a "sports car"?

You don't need good handling to wreck one either.

Dude? The RX8 is RWD, the others are FWD (that alone kicks them out of "sports car" classification") and have less power, and less capable handling, and they don't rev to 9 grand.

Don't be that Z owner, bro. Yeah, it's slow, burns oil, but it can haul *** around a mountain road. It's a fun car, too... I test drove one, but my head kept hitting the headliner, even with the seat at its lowest setting (I'm only 5'11, but I like to drive bolt upright).

I wonder if it's in most Z owners' blood to naturally hate the RX-8. I guess there are only a handful here who actually respect it.

Anyway, back to bashing!

Honestly, I think it's in most Z owners blood to hate damn near everything that doesn't cost upwards of 2x the price of the Z!

I just love cars. Still love boosted LS/VTEC swaps, still love E30s (don't even have to be M designation), whatever.

I don't naturally hate anything, I have to drive a car before I decide I hate it. I'm just not a fan of the RX8.

This thread rocks.

to the OP, if you can buy the car with your own money, pay for gas and insurance again 100% of it being YOUR MONEY with zero help from the parents, then get it. I have zero doubt in my mind that you'll drive it easy and wont screw around too much.

However, if your dad is paying for the down payment and you're getting into this car with next to no money in it. Do yourself a favor and buy a civic.

i don't quite understand this logic. my parents put the down on my car too, as a graduation gift. does that mean i should have picked a civic instead?
