Air Conditioning
i've been noticing that it takes a while for my A/C to get cool after i start the car up. the fan kicks in, but the air is not really cool until after it runs for a while.
is this normal?

it took about two minutes before it started to cool down. and then it really wasnt cold, but getting cooler all the time.
so, is this about a normal amount of time? normally when it first starts running the air coming out isnt cool at all.

I would say maybe that is a bit too long. Mine blows warm air at first too, but as most have said it only takes about 10 seconds or so before it starts getting cold
maybe you should get it checked out

There are many variables at work here, so I need more info.
Is this the first start of the day, or after an intermediate stop?
Are you running on recirc. and then switching to normal?
How hot is it outside when it does this?

it depends a lot on outside temperature. it can't make cold air without pushing hotter air outside. if the air outside is already hot, then it is more difficult for your AC to chill down.
test to make sure your heater is working too. if the heater won't make hot air then you might need to burp the coolant system
