Default Front plate holder options

Ok, I really don't want to drill holes in my grill. I've seen one that hung in the front vent area. Is that used by many? Does it affect airflow? I live in Dallas, so we need cooling air.

I can't find a previous post/question. The one I saw appeared to be sold by a sponsor here but through dealers. Anyone have a general sense of price of those things? My experience is that dealer price on aftermarket stuff varies wildly. I'm not in a hurry, so I'd rather not get hosed but the local guy.

Thanks....

Does anyone make a plate holder that goes into the tow hook area? That would seem to make a lot of sense. Otherwise, I have to carry a tool (no big deal) to remove the plate in case it needs to get towed.

zip ties in the grill? (then you can take it on and off with a clip of the shears) .

Do you know what it costs? Does it sit a little lower than the stock, drill-in version?

For some reason they dont show one for the 07-08 350Z. You'll just have to make sure you get the right size. Thats what I did and I have an 08.

Try this. Look down towards the bottom. Also you can print out a template to measure your tow hook.:

Somewhere in the "modifications" section someone posted how to make your own holder using the tow hook with materials he bought at Home Depot.
I have the ZeeBracket which covers the tow hook.
I looked at the Stillen but went with the ZeeBracket due to the price difference.

Thanks. I'm pretty handy and cheap. I'll search over there. Wish me luck in finding it!

No problem. Im in Midland.

About making your own bracket. I could have done that but it was worth the money and the time I saved to just get the kit from Stillen.

Hey BluZee,

I have a Nogaro Red NISMO #1184 that has not been plated. I was pulled over recently and was given a warning for not having a front plate. Now that I have to put a plate on my car I don’t want to drill any holes. I found the Stillen site and called them. They told me it wouldn’t work because the NISMO has a much longer nose than the other Zs. I see that you have been able to get it to work. Could you tell me what length and the mm of the post. Also what stops the plate from spinnig on the post? Do the screws touch the front bumper? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
MaxRPM
