Default New Z Owner

Just picked up my 08 PPW base on Sunday. So far I love the car. I also own a turbo Saturn and a Mazda RX7 R1. I'm looking forward to getting to know a little more about the car and becoming part of the Z community (both here online and in Hawaii).

Here are a few pictures... No where near the greatest. I need to find a few spots for a photo shoot. Please take it easy on the Saturn. I've owned the car for 10 years hence the ricey graffics (it was my first car). My tastes have become a bit more refined since then (see RX7). Whole turbo kit right down to the end tanks on the i/c was fabricated by myself and my good friend back in Tampa about 4 or 5 years ago. I also included a quick picture of the view from my living room in Honolulu. Hopefully I'll get better pictures soon.

Oh, just to explain the drastically different scenery, the RX7 and Saturn are still back "home" in the mainland.

In regards to the "view" shot. Can I speak for the rest of us here and say, "We hate you"? Nothing personal.

TreeFiddyZee- haha Thanks. The view is amazing from here. What more can I say?

Zippy_z- We'll see what happens with the Z. I'm sure things will slow down a bit as far as time to be wrenching on the cars considering you aren't allowed to work on cars at my place and I'm starting my career as an attorney). I'm sure I won't be able to leave it alone though. Also, where exactly is Huber Heights? I'm from just east of Cleveland originally.

Very nice! I grew up in Aiea...I still have lots of Ohana there. If you need anyone to take care of that RX7 I offer my assistance. Enjoy the Z!

Nothing "refined" about that R1. It is pure, raw, sports car goodness. Given your numbers, I'm guessing you went single? I'm trying to sell my '94 touring and then buy a Z. The thing I'll miss the most is the power and torque when the primary first kicks in.

Yeah, the R1 is a pure sports car. No doubt about it. I meant refined in the sense that my tastes in body lines and the beauty of a stock FD compared to the graffics on a Saturn SL. ha ha I did go to a big single. Unfortunately the streetport that RotorSports Racing did was not very substantial... I was shooting for 500 whp, but was limited by the ports.

I love the Z so far. It is just an adjustment not having a turbo. Just have to change that one day. I'm just thankful that I am fortunate enough to not have to sell anything. The thought of it breaks my heart. ha ha Good luck on your sale.
