Default An Update. Plans, questions, and things already done =)

Ok, so thank you guys so much for welcoming me to the forums.

I have a few things on topic.

1st

This past Saturday I decided that I didn't like the silver wheels. I like the wheels themselves for now, but the color was a little bright for my taste. So after I finished up here at Honda I pulled my car in the shop and painted the wheels. Some people might shun me but that's ok...they turned out really well I think =)

Before:

After:

Simple enough, I just taped off the tires after I took them off the car of course. I used degreaser and acid to clean them. I used engine enamel black semi-gloss and tlc. They turned out better than I actually expected!

2nd
I have ordered 6k HID's with the digital ballasts. Pretty excited about that.

3rd and most important (Your participation please )

After having driven it for awhile and having other z owners drive it, I have come to the conclusion that the pressure plate is worn out. So naturally I'm going to go ahead and get a new clutch and flywheel while I'm in there. My thoughts were ACT clutch and flywheel because they have been good to me with other cars. I've also used Exedy and they were ok...I had a Fidanza flywheel that worked well for me.

My question is: what have you other Z owners found to work the best for you? I'll likely stick with ACT, but I'd like to hear everyone else's opinion!

looks stealthy...you're not the only person who had the idea of painting your stocks...although most people powder coat theirs.

Now wash that Z! btw..check out this thread: https://my350z.com/forum/media-share...on-thread.html

Your wheels turned out really nice. Good job! How do your Honda buddies like the Z?

They look good. How do you like the 960 Pole Position tires?

Thanks for the wheel compliments! It was my first time painting wheels.

As for the tires they seem to be alright...I'm pretty partial to Nitto 555's and Falken Azenis, but this is my first rwd so handling is muuuuch different. So I guess I'm still adjusting.

One of the guys on my team at Honda also has a Z and is on here actually...he's pretty excited for me. 2 other guy's have 240's....everybody is pretty glad I converted =)

Now, with the JWT stuff. I had never heard of that before and so I looked into it and found out why...because it's for a car I'd never owned!!! Have you had any experience/own a JWT clutch/flywheel? From what I saw on the site they had two different clutches and flywheels

welcome. you need to degrease your tires and fender wheels and get a professional buff job since your paint is not in good condition.
