Well I just picked up my Z on wednesday, its a 2004 6MT touring edition with 32k miles for $15000. Im not really digging the chrome rims so I was gonna see if anybody in MN wanted to trade for some black ones.

congrats on your buy, yah you should get different rims or you could have a shop powder coat it, black, since it might be hard to get a trade for it.

It's cheaper then buying new rims plus it's a better option if you can't get a trade.

Did you find the car on MN's Craigslist, because I remember seeing some guy had an ad with the same 350z you just bought?

Nope I picked it up from Carlson Toyota, they just took it in as a trade last week.

Do you know of any good powder coating shops around the twin cities?

Those wheels are hideous in any color. Don't waste your money powdercoating them. If you want to make your Z look clean, don't skimp out. Modding the Z nicely isn't cheap.

I just noticed how small the tires are, and how sunken into the wheel well they are too. Bad offset and size. Look like they belong on a honda accord or something.

Pick up a set of 2006+ OEM wheels. You can get them pretty cheap in the classifieds. And they look really good for stock wheels.
