I just bought a 2004 350Z and it is my first sport car. I had the oil changed along with the filter and since then it has been going through oil, there is alot of oil residue on my exaust. Is it burning oil? Is any of this normal? What causes this to burn oil? Please help me out.

I have to admit, I notice this a little with my '04 as well.

I hate it.

 

Is it normal do you know?

 

^^^im going to say yes because my 03 does it, and the valve covers are notorius for leaking inside the plugs and on the back of engine compartment, check there to make sure you dont have a leak also

I have no external leaks, have you noticed if synthetic or regular oil works better?

 

Is burning oil normal for a vehicle with less than 100,000 miles? I think you know the answer.
