Default First time z owner!

I've been looking for a new car for a while and came across an '03 350z. I was able to talk the owner down to 13k and I went for it. after driving it once, i was already in love and the price was right. it had about 70k miles. did i mention its brickyard red! It's been well taken care of, only one major repair- the engine fan started smoking so i got it replaced. i also screwed up the serpentine (a/c) belt, probly my fault, but my mechanic only charged me parts. probably couldv'e done it myself but i cant argue with free. the front lights were really hazy, so i bought a special sanding kit for cleaning head lights. u attach it to a drill, then sand the lights with increasingly finer sandpaper, then buff them out. they were still not quite shiny clear. i had some old turtle wax 100% protectorant (its for rubber/plastic) and gave it a try. voila! nearly good as new, clear, and shiny. one odd thing, the previous owner put on brand new falkens. and the back right blew out on the freeway. i was only doing about 80, so i slowed down and was able to pull over safely. thank god. it took forever to find the special socket for my lug nuts, it was hidden in a storage compartment the previous owner didnt mention. what a pain. anyway they were under warranty = free replacement. the rims are also koss (never heard of them but theyre shiny!) 18" chrome (i guess its chrome). and if ur wondering, its a/t. i kinda regret it, but i would regret passing it up even more...

i just detailed it, clay barred and waxed it last weekend, but it picks up dust like crazy. i picked up a california duster for $8. they work great, a must have. i also installed an alpine myself and wired the ipod cable into the middle console, and integrated my radar detector so the cable is hidden behind the dash. i'll probably replace the front speakers/tweeters myself. maybe add a sub. i also want to put on a cold air intake, and i know someone selling a nismo exhaust for $200. i could install it myself, but im not sure if that price is right? it seems low but i dont want to buy a screwed up exhaust, any advice?

anyway, thats about it! let me know what you think. in the mean time, i think i will go for a drive in beautiful new mexico...

i know it wasnt the best price, but i've been looking for a long time and stumbled upon this car. it was like going grocery shopping when youre hungry, i fell in love and price didnt quite matter as much. and theres just not much selection in albuquerque, and i didnt want to travel to pick up a car. so for me it was an alright deal. and im happy with it, i have a z! lets just hope theres no more drama

Quite a bit below Blue Book for his area. Not that bad of a price. Love the Brickyard (Indy 500 FTW!).

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. It looks clean and well maintained. The wheels look good. Of course I love chrome wheels so maybe I'm biased.

haha im not sure what i'll do with the rims. i dont like chrome, it just looks cheap. but the rims dont look too bad, better than stock and their 18"s so there big. maybe its just the perspective? jk
thanks sage! i doubt i will ever get tired of looking at her, and same with driving. im always finding an excuse now.
i was a little worried about brickyard until i saw it in person. it looks good, and not many people have it
