Default Oil selection help

I just purchased a 06 manual enthusiast. I am not aware of what oil the previous owner was putting into the car, I want to switch to a good quality oil and just need some input and advice from fellow Z owners on what they think is good. thank you

Search is the answer i found when i asked that same newb question.
I just put mobile 1 syn w/mobile 1 filter in her...seemed to enjoy it.
Royal Purple i wanted but for $100.00 a change that isn't in my budget right now.

Go to walmart to get royal purple cost like $50..... I just found out from my friend -_- cant believe he just told me... I was spending like $75 for mobile 1

^+1 on the royal purple from walmart, did 2 oil changes with royal purple 5w-30 & royal purple filter, cars running like a champ

Royal Purple doesnt do well in the VQ, Mobil 1 0W-40, Rotella 5w-40, Amsoil 0w-30, Castrol Edge 5W-30, Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30 all do very well!

there's so many "whats the best oil" threads. search first. i use Mobil.
