Default Looking to get a 350Z

Ive been looking for a 2door sedan with a v6 and after my serch ive decided that the 350Z is probably the best value for the money. Sure the Tiburon has a V6 but Nissan is a much better company.
'
Now im looking to get a 350Z and im looking in the price range of 12k-16k

now with that i bet ill only be able to get a 2003-2005 preferably a 2005

Manual trans. is a must. any suggestions as to where to start looking.?

My advice is to start looking locally. There are a lot of Z's around and it is much nicer to be able to see the car, have it checked by your mechanic, etc....

Autotrader, Craigslist, Cars.com, Edmunds all are good places to look. I'd suggest you invest in a carfax service for a few months. That way you can check the VINs of the cars you find and are considering. It is also handy in that you can figure out how long a dealer has had the Z sitting on it's lot from a trade or auction. If the car is stale sitting their, then they will want to get rid of it. My first offer to a dealer is the composite trade-in value from KBB, Edmunds, and NADA. I figure that is what they paid for the car and they might just like to get out from under it for the same price. Yeah, I'm cheap.

Private sellers are also great when you can find them. Lots of folks are in trouble financially and have to get out from under a car payment. With fall coming, now is a great time to get a good price on a RWD sports car.

Good luck.

Look privately in your local section on this forum. People that have been active on the forum are much more inclined to be honest since people "know them" than on other general websites like Craigslist, etc., even if they are local. Choose your local site from here: https://my350z.com/forum/north-america-87/

Then look in their "for sale" area.

Welcome to the forum. Best advice, get yourself along to your local Z meets, chat to the people, if there's good ones around for sale you'll soon find out.
