I think they do it because they like to "make people jealous" because they are 19 and drive a Z. It's "balla".

You are absolutely right, there is zero need to post thier age. But since the OP felt the need to do it........ I'm 32 and the Z is only the second car i've had to make payments on ever. I drove cheap disposable cars most of my life with no regret, which%2

The funny thing is, I think these kids jump mention their age and that they pay for the car "all by themselves" as some form of bragging, otherwise there is no need to even bring it up. As if somehow they are better than us "old guys" because we drive similar cars but it took us longer to get them. Too bad all they have to show for their lives thus far is a car payment and expensive insurance payments (provided they are even on their own insurance plan and not their parent's). While most of us "old guys" own our own homes, have families, have college educations out of the way already, have careers (not just a job), a little money in the bank, retirement funds, investments, other vehicles, etc. So in reality the whole "I am 18 and bought the same car you have at 35, lolz, I am the man" thing is silly because what they use to define their entire existence is just one of our toys.
EDIT - halfass, I am actually moving down to VA Beach for a few years, how is the weather?

I am pretty much in the same boat. I am 30, I only had two other cars that I made payments on, everything else was just a beater that went from point A to point B. Not that I wouldn't have enjoyed have a Z or any cool car when I was younger, but looking back, I probably would have wrecked it.

LOL +10000 (Fixed my post that you quoted me in BTW, don't know what happened.)
Well let's see.... we just got out of the 60s and started our two months of winter for the year, (Highs in the 40s, lows in the 30s). Otherwise you'll love it!! It's the biggest resort city on the East coast, what's not to love! Oh..the roads do suck a$$, so if you are thinking of lowering your Z, think twice! Basically it stays hot untill October (80s), then warm untill December (70s), then cold untill March(40s-50s). You can pretty much count on that every year! It's very consistant here.
Hang out in the Mid-atlantic section when you start getting close to moving, there's good info there about local stuff (Not just car related functions). And i have lived here my whole life, so PM me if you want any more info!

Welcome and congratulations on your new purchase.
As long as you are paying for your car yourself well then don't worry about what others
have to say about your purchase, alot of young people out there get their cars handed
to them without having to pay anything. There is nothing more honorable than paying for your own vehicle.

word. to go off on another tangent about his job, since I feel like being nice today to someone wanting attention.
I've known plenty of kids that worked as a card dealer pre-21. they love to brag about how much they make at a young age, they are so proud of it. really, I am sure you make more then the average person your age, that's good.
they blew it all on stupids things to impress their friends (like nice cars..) though. what they quickly forgot is that they work the shittiest schedules (weekends, nights!), which really hurts their social lives. nights and weekends are something to really take in and enjoy from 16-mid 20s. it's such a sleezy industry too, almost all casinos are ran in a really shady manner and there is all sorts of behind scenes corruption that I won't go into detail about.
card dealing skills don't really transfer to other jobs either. if you don't like dealing, you better not be addicted to the income it brings.
to further input my unasked for two cents, I suggest you stick it out with card dealing and looking into jumping into a management position within the casino where the pay will be near equal, at least then you will have some transferable skills. one of my friends did this and now he's doing administration/logistics for a company and is very well off. another friend of mine got fed up with dealing cards and is now unemployed with no real skill sets outside of the card dealing school he went to.
a lot of what I said is purely situational and may not apply but take it for what it's worth.
I'm having fun with this thread.

Really?? You can't think of ANYTHING more 'honorable" then having a car payment?
How about having a family and providing for them? Or serving your country?

the accord was in both our names like the Z but in this case, i am the first signer on this loan before he was the first, but i know i didnt buy the car myself. i have really good credit, just not enough to do it on my own, yet. but as for being self made i am in my eyes, he never helped me with payments he didnt give me any money down, i pay for everything! he didnt put anything into the deal except his signature, and in 4 months ill establish enough credit that i wont need him on the loan anymore! i work hard for it! but its worth it
By the way, do you park the car at your parent's/grandfather's house?
there arent basements in florida, and my car sits in my garage, or if u wanna get technical my moms garage....
