So i'm assuming you bought and paid for your 07 Accord yourself, and then traded it for the Z?

You realize Co-signing doesn't mean you bought the car yoruself. Your Grandfather's debt to income is affected too just as if he bought the car in his name only. And he is just as responsible for the loan as you are. If you have enough credit to not have a cosigner and are "self-made" then why did grandpa have to co-sign?

the accord was in both our names like the Z but in this case, i am the first signer on this loan before he was the first, but i know i didnt buy the car myself. i have really good credit, just not enough to do it on my own, yet. but as for being self made i am in my eyes, he never helped me with payments he didnt give me any money down, i pay for everything! he didnt put anything into the deal except his signature, and in 4 months ill establish enough credit that i wont need him on the loan anymore! i work hard for it! but its worth it

We make a big deal because kids don't need to be spending $25,000 + on a car (Or their Grandpa). Buy a house (Or at least get out on your own), get settled into a career (You don't know what you want to do the rest of you life at 19, so don't even say it), start building up a 401K so you don't have to work untill you are dead, pay ALL your bills on your own. Basically get some life under your belt before you blow your wad on a stupid car. You think you appreciate it now, but you don't.

I'm gonan let someone else start on with the "young drivers" speech.

If what you say is true, i think your debt to income is what's keeping you from putting this in your name. I was in the military, and i know that ANYONE with a good job that makes decent money, can get approved for a car. Your credit score (assuming you make enough money to qualify) really only effects how much interest you are gonna pay. Unless it's horrible, then you are just F'd. If you are just "new" and have no credit, that's better then bad credit. Unless, like i said, your debt to incom is to high, which i have a hunch is what the issues is.

give the kid a break, he comes in here all excited to share his ride and all the debby downers come out to make sure he doesn't enjoy it for long. Who cares about the kids credit, credit history, and/or finances- who the hell are all of you, his loan agents?

Zed_UP!, car looks great, try to get some more pics up when you have a chance, I'd like to see it with those wheels. Great choice on your car btw, hope you really enjoy it, don't let the negativity in this forum bring you down- a lot of complexes on these boards, Buzz Killingtons!

Why do kids always feel the need to just throw their age out there? I have noticed that. Clearly they like the abuse because most of them say just what the OP here said; "i thought id put my age out there cuz its a big deal on this forum lol".

Was there a need to know his age? Did anyone ask? These kids knowingly put info out there knowing they will get flamed, then they complain about it or sit back and try to justify how they are the exception to the rule.

Bottom line, if your motive for being here is to learn more about the car and enjoy interacting with other enthusiasts, then do just that. But clearly when they hop in here and imediately say "oh hai, i am 17 and this is my first car and i pay all my own billz, lulz", you will get negative comments because we all know you're full of crap.

Just sayin........

he brought it on himself. he had no reason to include his age, or anything about the purchase, he just gave people a reason to knock on him.
